The details are different, but the underlying concern is the same after the Kansas House and Senate passed separate budget versions over the last two weeks.
The concern: balancing revenues versus expenses. 17th District Senator Mike Argabright of Olpe echoes recent comments from House 60th District Representative Mark Schreiber of Emporia on that topic.
Argabright voted for the Senate version.
With that in mind, Argabright says there were some items he wished would have received more consideration — and more funding.
The chamber budgets are now in front of a conference committee that’s working to find a compromise ahead of a final vote.
