Osage City knocked off the defending 3A Champion and previously unbeaten, Halstead, 44-39 in overtime at the Hutchinson Sports Arena in the semifinals on Friday.
Halstead took the early lead 8-5 after one. The Dragons closed the second quarter with five straight points to enter intermission, 18-13. Osage City trailed 25-20 to start the fourth. Halstead led by 7 with 4:55 to play. The Lady Indians used an 11-4 run to send the game to OT.
The Lady Indians improve to 25-3 and will play for a state title Saturday at 4:30 p.m. against Silver Lake.
