Within the next few days, Madison officials hope to have the town’s water system officially back to normal.
The town went into a boil water advisory Thursday after a water main was punctured. The town had water service resume by Friday morning, but residents are still advised to boil their water until cleared by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Mayor Paul Dean says the goal is to deliver water samples to KDHE on Tuesday. If all goes well, the advisory could be lifted Wednesday.
