An Emporia man arrested last week on suspicion of attempted murder has been charged on significant but lesser counts.
Seth Giroux, age 26, was charged with single counts of aggravated battery, attempted aggravated battery – bodily harm with the use of a deadly weapon, traffic counts and two counts of criminal damage.
Giroux is charged with using a pickup to chase down a woman through at least two lawns and at least one sidewalk March 11. He is also charged with damaging property at Emporia First Baptist Church and at least one private resident.
Giroux had his first official appearance in Lyon County District Court and was set for a preliminary hearing March 31.
