The Hornets baseball team ran into a buzzsaw in Claremore, Okla. as ESU fell 14-0 to #15 Rogers State on Friday. The Hornets were no-hit in a seven-inning no-hitter tossed by Zach Horwith. The Hill cats plated three in the first and then four in the fourth before gashing the Big Gold with seven runs in the sixth on just three hits. RSU scored twice on two hit batters and two more on a Hornet error with all seven runs scoring with two outs. ESU committed four errors in the game and were 0-for-18 at the plate with just two hitters reaching via base on balls. Seth Stover (4-1) suffered his first defeat of the year lasting 3.2 innings while allowing nine hits and seven runs but just four were earned. ESU (22-6, 9-5 MIAA) plays game two of their series Saturday.
