Foul play is not suspected after a missing man from Topeka was found dead in Cottonwood Falls on Saturday.
Chase County Sheriff Jacob Welsh says Chase County deputies and Chase County EMS were called to the Dollar General parking lot, 13 South Walnut, for a check welfare call involving an adult male inside a vehicle around 6:15 pm.
Welsh says the man, later identified as 31-year-old Austin Barnes, was found dead.
A cause of death is pending. Further details about the Barnes case are pending through Topeka Police.
