Southwick House is closing in on both the end of its fundraising campaign and the official start of construction for its new transitional housing facility.
Groundbreaking will be April 7 at 5:30 pm at the agency’s future home, 115 East Logan. The public is encouraged to attend.
Southwick House is nearing its goal of $3.6 million to build a 9,000-square-foot transitional housing facility to help both women and families in crisis, building on the nearly-100 years of service provided to women by Plumb Place before that agency disbanded six years ago.
Director Cara Codney and Board President Jeremy Dorsey will join KVOE’s Newsmaker 3 segment at 8:40 am Wednesday with more information.
