Prime burning conditions were in place on Easter Sunday and they continue Monday.
Temperatures in the low 70s will combine with light breezes, first out of the west before shifting to the east, to set up low to moderate fire danger areawide.
Air quality issues began developing Sunday night as AirNow.gov began indicating unhealthy conditions for sensitive groups around midnight. Air quality is now unhealthy for all groups, so residents are encouraged to reduce outdoor activity or minimize outdoor time and go inside to cleaner air if you have symptoms like burning eyes, runny nose, coughing and illnesses like bronchitis.
The fire danger should stay low to moderate Tuesday despite wind gusts as high as 25 mph. Rain chances return Wednesday afternoon and continue intermittently through at least Sunday.
