Emporia State junior third baseman Brooke Flewelling has been named the Louisville Slugger DII Player of the Week by the NFCA. Flewelling carried the load for the Lady Hornet offense last week after belting three home runs and driving in eight runs in her four games last week. Flewelling hit .667 on the week while slugging 1.750 for a massive 2.515 OPS. She leads the MIAA with 14 home runs and is currently third on the ESU single-season chart and fourth on the career list. She is also the conference leader in slugging percentage. She’s the first national player of the week for ESU since Danielle Sprinkle in May of 2018. E-State continues an 8-game road swing on Friday at Central Oklahoma.
