Emporia State’s Mostafa Elbasnaly has been named the MIAA/GAC North Division Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. Elbasnaly helped the Hornets to an upset victory over #21 Nebraska-Kearney last week taking a straight-sets victory at #1 singles. He is 10-4 on the year and has won his last two singles matches. He’s taken over the #1 singles spot over the last five weeks going 3-2 after starting the year at #2 singles. The Hornets host the Ichabods in the Turnpike Tussle on Friday beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the Kossover Family Tennis Complex.
