The Emporia State baseball team couldn’t get on the board in a 3-0 loss at Fort Hays State in game two of their midweek MIAA series on Tuesday. The Tigers scored on doubles in the first, fourth, and seventh and outhit the Hornets 7-5 in the game. Jake Khasaempanth (3-1) went 3.0 innings and allowed just one run on one hit but took the loss for E-State. The Hornets got a runner in scoring position in five different innings but couldn’t take advantage. ESU (27-9, 14-8 MIAA) returns home to host Missouri Southern on Friday. First pitch is set for 5:00 p.m. with coverage on Mix 104.9.
