Emporia’s One9 travel plaza is nearing an opening date.
Construction continues on the travel plaza’s gas station as well as restaurants. Sbarro, a pizza chain, and India Eats have signage already posted. Brownstone 3 Chief Operating Officer Darrin Dodge says Starbucks is also moving from its current location on West 18th, although that store may not be ready by the time the development opens next month.
The full development will also include retail shopping and at least one hotel. Dodge says negotiations continue for a hotel with a national flag.
