Strong storms can’t be ruled out for the rest of Wednesday into the early evening hours.
A slight risk area continues along and east of the Kansas Turnpike, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Bill Gargan.
Gargan says the atmosphere resembles the last couple days, although storm activity could fire further east than it has so far this week.
The risk area Wednesday follows severe weather with no official risk Monday and a slight to enhanced risk that led to no severe weather areawide Tuesday. The current forecast has a dry Thursday and a stormy Friday, with an enhanced all-hazards risk for the afternoon and evening.
