The Emporia State baseball team left multiple runners on in each of the first seven innings of the game in a 4-0 loss to #16 Central Missouri on Saturday afternoon at the Trusler Sports Complex in Emporia. The game knotted up the series at a game apiece. UCM started the offense with a two-run homer in the first inning and never trailed. The Hornets drew 10 walks in the game, losing for the first time this season when they have walked at least nine times in a game. The Hornets squandered their opportunities leaving 16 runners on base and finishing just 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position. Seth Stover (5-3) lasted five innings and gave up three runs to take the loss. Logan Myers went 3-for-3 with two walks for E-State. Head coach John Martin said it was a tough day for the Hornet offense.
