The tastiest event in Emporia once again took over White Auditorium Saturday night.
Emporia Main Street’s Taste welcomed food and drink vendors from all across the local area to showcase their various offerings. From sliders to spirits, steaks to scotch the event had it all once again, according to Main Street Events Coordinator Jessica Buchholz, who says they always have something new and fresh to offer each year.
Noting the economic impacts of recent business closures and layoffs, Buchholz says now more than ever it is important to support the local economy by shopping and supporting local businesses.
She adds the Taste is a great road map to local customers on exactly where they’d like to spend their money in the future.
Over 20 vendors were on hand for the event.
The Taste follows Emporia Main Street’s most recent top 3 finish in the USA Today 10Best Main Streets in America competition as announced last week.
