The Emporia Recreation Commission will field updates during its regular board meeting Monday.
Board members will discuss upcoming renovations to the DeBauge Family Sports Complex scheduled for this summer and fall. They will also review the city of Emporia’s transient guest tax grant used to help offset costs for teams involved in the state basketball tournament last month at White Auditorium. A parking lot update for the Lee Beran Recreation Center and a phone/internet update are also planned.
Board members will also discuss the annual Jones Aquatic Center agreement before separate updates on solar benches and facility use.
The meeting is at 5:30 pm at Lee Beran Recreation Center.
The Rec Center Steering Committee meets at 3 pm April 28 to talk more about a new public recreation center.
