A Topeka man was arrested following a brief vehicle pursuit in Osage County this past weekend.
According to a news release from the Osage County Sheriff’s Office Monday, at approximately 9:42 am Saturday, Osage County Deputies observed an individual, later identified as 42-year-old Tommy Marshall of Topeka, while patrolling in Scranton. Marshall was allegedly known to have active warrants for his arrest and deputies were attempting to “coordinate additional resources” as Marshall fled the area in a vehicle.
He would later abandon the vehicle and flee on foot but was apprehended following a brief coordinated search that involved multiple agencies. Marshall was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on law enforcement, flee and elude, criminal damage to property, interference with law enforcement, criminal possession of a firearm by a felon and unspecified Osage County arrest warrants.
Formal charges are pending at last word.
