2:15 pm Thursday: Tornado Watch issued for entire KVOE listening area through Thursday evening
A tornado watch is now in place through the mid-evening hours for the entire KVOE listening area Thursday.
The watch goes until 9 pm and reflects the potential for tornadic activity as an enhanced risk for severe storms still covers the entire area. Other hazards for the area include large hail up to two inches in diameter and 60-70 mph wind gusts with any storms that may develop.
Following Thursday’s storm potential, dry and sunny conditions are expected for Friday before stormy conditions return to the area through the weekend, with slight to enhanced risk areas already announced for both Saturday and Sunday.

We enter another period of severe weather potential later Thursday.
Stronger storms are possible Thursday afternoon through the evening, as well as Saturday and Sunday. For Thursday, TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says there is not a lengthy time period for severe weather.
There is an enhanced risk areawide. Meyers says it is an all-hazard day.
Meyers says severe weather potential could be limited, depending on two main factors.
Friday looks to be sunny, dry and mild, with highs in the 70s, but severe weather is possible again for both weekend days. Slight to enhanced risk areas have already been announced for both Saturday and Sunday.
