The Emporia State track & field team wrapped up the regular season at the Alex Francis Classic in Hays, Kan. on Thursday and won three events. Lou Dumas took the women’s 100m hurdles in 14.21 seconds, the third-best time in Lady Hornet history. Dumas later teamed up with Scarlett Begley, Ava Markley, and Isabella Davie to win the women’s 4x400m relay. Mason Bina was the runner up in the women’s 800m run while Alexia Lewis finished second in the women’s long jump. Emmanuel Dukpe won the men’s 400m dash in 47.5 seconds. Max Neely finished third in the pole vault. ESU heads to Pittsburg State for the MIAA Championships beginning Thursday, May 1.
