There were glad tidings to be had as Emporia Main Street had its second Enchanted Emporia on Saturday.
The gathering space was the 10 block of West 9th, and Marketing and Outreach Coordinator Coordinator Sarah Megredy says a lot of the attendees were definitely invested in the event.
A fan of Renaissance festivals, Megredy was glad to see the range of costumes at the event.
Attendees got a quest scroll as a way to win prizes and register for free tickets to the Kansas City Renaissance Faire. Children could also make their own wands with help from the Emporia Arts Council.
Up next for Main Street on the community event calendar is involvement in the Hispanics of Today and Tomorrow Cinco de Mayo Festival on May 2, the Flatland Cruisers Car Show on May 16 and Unbound Gravel culminating May 30.
