Emporia High tennis took the home courts for the Emporia Invite Tuesday.
Brecken Hines secured eighth in singles after dropping his first match. The sophomore then picked up wins 8-2 and 8-5.
Collin Moody and Nicholas Weller topped the Spartan duos in ninth.
EHS returns to action on May 4 for the League Tournament in Topeka.
