Candidates aren’t being named yet, but Emporia State University plans to introduce the three finalists for its Dean of the School of Business and Technology starting late this week.
There will be community receptions and public presentations for the candidates:
*The first candidate will have a community reception at 4:30 pm Thursday at Breidenthal University House,1522 Highland or just northeast of the Sauder Alumni Center. The presentation will be at 1:30 pm Friday in Cremer Hall Room 205, or the Roe R Cross Room
*The second candidate’s community reception will be at 4:30 pm May 5 at the Sauder Alumni Center, 1500 Highland. The presentation follows at 1:30 pm May 6 at the Cremer Hall Roe Cross Room
*The final candidate will have a community reception at 4:30 pm May 7 at the Sauder Alumni Center, followed by a presentation at 1:30 pm May 8 at the Cremer Hall Roe Cross Room
ESU has not said when it plans to announce the candidates.
The next dean succeeds Ed Bashaw, who retired at the end of the 2024-25 academic year. Bashaw came to Emporia State in 2016 and concluded a 36-year career in education with his retirement.
