Heavy rain across the north half of Lyon County on Sunday and Monday led to limited road flooding that persists Tuesday morning.
Road closures include the following:
*Road 200 from B to C
*Road 210 from K to Kansas Highway 99
*Road 215 from Road H5 to Road K
*Road 225 from E to F
*Road 240 from D to E5
*Road F from 225 to 235
Flooding is over near the Marais des Cygnes river gauge above Reading after the heavy rain, so the flood warning issued early Monday has been canceled. The river was in flood for about 14 hours Monday, climbing above the 19-foot flood stage around 9 am and then going back below flood before midnight. The river crested at just under 22.1 feet, about a foot below the expected level.
