Chesney Erkel and Marley Harter both finished top 20 to lead Emporia High golf to 12th Thursday in Hesston.
Erkel finished tied for 14th with a +5 to lead the Spartans. Harter was right on his toes with a +6 which was tied for 17th.
Emporia was two strokes back from a top ten showing. The Black and Red shot a team 328.
EHS travels to Lake Shawnee Golf Course in Topeka on Tuesday
