The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks says a hunter was hit by a train and killed this past weekend.
Wildlife and Parks says the incident was reported around 7:30 am April 25 south of the junction of 293rd Street and South Paulen Road, or about 3 miles northeast of Melvern. Nicholas Pasley, age 43 of Clarksville, Arkansas, was listed as the victim, although Wildlife and Parks has not given any specifics on exactly what happened.
Besides Wildlife and Parks, several agencies responded, including Osage County deputies, Osage County Fire/EMS and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Police.
