The Emporia State baseball team picked up the sweep on Senior Day with a 2-1 victory over Northeastern State. Neither team scored until the eighth inning with the RiverHawks scoring first, but Noah Steele tied the game on his final day at the TSC before a bunt single by Brady Unrein put ESU in front for good. Jake Khasaempanth pitched the first four innings and gave up just two hits. Grant Huffman (3-0) gave up the run in the eighth but picked up the win. ESU wraps up the season at 35-15 with a 22-14 MIAA record. The Hornets head to Edmond, Okla. for the MIAA Tournament which begins on Wednesday next week.
