Chesney Erkel finished second as Emporia High golf met their Centenianal League counterparts Tuesday in Topeka at Lake Shawnee Golf Course.
Erkel led two Spartans in the top ten. Erkel finished +4 and was off the lead by four shots. Marley Harter finished the round at +8 tied for eighth.
EHS finished third as a team behind Manhattan and Washburn Rural.
The Spartans return to the course Thursday at Rolling Meadows in Junction City.
