The Emporia High golf team traveled to Junction City as the Blue Jays made up the Junction City Invitational at Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Milford, Kan. on Thursday. The Black & Red finished in sixth and were 23 shots off the lead. The Spartans finished +45 as Wamego edged Manhattan by one stroke to win the tournament with Washburn Rural five back of the pace in third. The Indians’ Charlie Haney was the only player under par finishing -2 for the tournament ahead of three Raiders. Chseney Erkel and Marley Harter each finished just out of the top ten tying for 11th shooting +8 for the tournament. Jack Dalton tied for 35th shooting +13. EHS wraps up the regular season hosting a varsity meet at the Emporia Golf Course on Monday.
