The Emporia Arts Council is ready for the summer, and it’s encouraging everybody to attend the Summer Arts Kickoff Party on Monday.
Marketing and Member Service Coordinator Amy Gonzales says it’s a family-friendly, hands-on two hours of activities.
People can also see the summer class schedule and sign up while at the event. They can also enter for chances to win door prizes. Fanestil Meats is providing hot dogs for the event.
Gonzales says this also serves as the launch of the Emporia Summer Explorer Log program for kids. It’s an idea she has had for several years to demonstrate free or low-cost activities in Emporia.
