The Emporia High softball team couldn’t dent the scoreboard in a 2-0 loss on Saturday to Lawrence at Peter Pan Park.. The Chesty Lions scored one in the fifth and one in the sixth despite the Lady Spartans committing five errors in the game. Delaney Davis gave up five hits and one unearned run in five innings in the circle but took the hard-luck loss. EHS was out-hit 6-1 in the game. The Lady Spartans head to Topeka to face Topeka West to wrap up the regular season on Friday.
