The woman accused of stabbing an individual in northeast Emporia last week will return to court next month.
24-year-old Makayla McCray will have a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, June 2nd at 11 am inside the Lyon County District Court. McCray is facing a single charge of aggravated battery following an alleged stabbing incident that sent an unnamed 31-year-old man to Newman Regional Health last Wednesday afternoon.
The victim was later transferred to an unlisted hospital, with his current condition not announced.
McCray was apprehended by law enforcement Friday evening after police received information as to her whereabouts. She was apprehended without incident.
