Graduation activities begin Friday for Emporia State University.
Graduate students and doctoral candidates will receive their degrees at 6 pm, with undergraduate ceremonies at 9:30 am on Saturday. Both ceremonies will be held inside William L. White Auditorium.
On KVOE’s ESU Buzz Thursday, Vice-Provost and Dean of the Graduate School Dr. Jerry Spotswood says commencement is an exciting time that requires a lot of prep work to ensure students have the experience they have worked hard for.
Assistant Vice President for Student Success Sheila Markowitz says graduation activities are not only a moment of pride for their students, but also for the faculty who have stood by them throughout their educational journeys.
Offering remarks at both ceremonies this weekend on behalf of the Kansas Board of Regents will be Regent Neelima Parasker.
Seating for those with mobility issues or disabilities will be provided on both the main floor and portions of the second-level concourse.
