There are still chances of severe weather into next week, but the risk map has changed since Thursday morning.
Officially, the Storm Prediction Center now has all area counties in a marginal risk for wind and hail. Areas along and north of a line from Matfield Green to Neosho Rapids to Melvern had been in a slight risk in Thursday morning’s forecast. Severe weather has been tentatively removed from the forecast for Saturday.
Meanwhile, Sunday now has a marginal to slight risk areawide for all hazards, with areas along and west of a line from Council Grove to Matfield Green to near Cassoday in the slight risk and areas east of that line in the marginal risk. Monday currently has an enhanced all-hazards risk. Tuesday had a severe weather risk as of the forecast from Thursday, but that has now been pushed well southeast of the KVOE listening area.
