A pair of Strong City residents are in custody in Chase County following the execution of a search warrant in the city this past Wednesday.
According to a news release from the Chase County Sheriff’s Office, deputies executed the warrant around 3:30 am Wednesday at 202 East 6th Street in Strong City, searching for illegal narcotics. During the search, deputies located several goods, including food, dairy products, pet food and others believed to have been stolen from Dollar Generals in Emporia and Peabody.
As a result, 45-year-old Jeremiah Terry and 44-year-old Joni Osage were arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen property. Both individuals reportedly worked for a delivery service responsible for resupplying goods for Dollar General stores in the region.
