Emporia State junior third baseman Brooke Flewelling has been named Second Team All-Region by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association. Flewelling led the Lady Hornets and MIAA in home runs as ESU made the semifinals of the MIAA Softball Tournament. She was Second Team All-MIAA and hit .346 with 16 home runs, eight doubles, four triples and ranked fourth in the MIAA in slugging percentage. She finished in the top ten in the league in total bases, triples, and RBIs. Her 16 home runs were third on the ESU single-season list and she is fourth in career home runs with 31. ESU wrapped up the year 29-18.
