Emporia Fire responded after a parking lot light pole collapsed and crashed on top of a car at Planet Sub on Sunday afternoon.
The incident happened shortly after 1:30 pm. Emporia Fire Battalion Chief Eron Steinlage says the base rotted before the pole fell, and wind gusts above 40 mph may have contributed to the incident.
There were no injuries, but the car was heavily damaged.
