Three Hornet baseball players have been named First Team All-Central Region by the D2CCA on Monday. Colby Deaver, Logan Myers, and Noah Steele all earned the honors with Deaver being named the Central Region Pitcher of the Year. All three players had already been honored as All-Region by the NCBWA. It’s the second region pitcher of the year award for Deaver who was also named the MIAA Pitcher of the Year. Deaver wrapped up the season in the top five in the nation in six different categories including leading the country in WHIP and finishing second in wins. Logan Myers had a 1.000 fielding percentage and helped turn 36 double plays and is now in the top ten in ESU history in hits and runs. Steele bashed a career high 16 home runs this season and ranks fifth on the Hornet all-time list. ESU wrapped up the season 37-16 after falling in the MIAA Tournament championship game to Pittsburg State.
