Emporia Fire is investigating after a small fire at an Emporia house early Tuesday.
Fire crews were toned out to 1349 Trailridge around 5:20 am. Battalion Chief Tony Fuller says there was a small fire on the front porch that was handled quickly. There was no apparent extension inside the house, although the house was ventilated because light smoke went inside the house during the early investigation period.
Fuller says the cause is to be determined. There were no reported injuries. The home is owned and occupied by Germania Anders.
