Stella Agbokpah qualified for the finals of the women’s 200 meters to lead Emporia State on Friday at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at Welch Stadium in Emporia.
Agbokpah won her heat in 23.38 and advanced with the fourth-fastest qualifying time.
The Hornets’ men’s 4×400-meter relay team of Braden Lipgens, Israel Domeh, Andrew Holton and Emmanuel Dukpe placed 10th in the prelims with a time of 3:08.95.
Domeh finished 19th in the men’s 200 meters in 21.21.
In the heptathlon, Isabella Davie posted a personal-best 2:13.20 in the 800 meters and finished with 4,840 points. Lou Dumas scored 4,780 points.
The third and final day, Saturday, begins at noon with the men’s javelin featuring Brooks Lowe and Grayson Walburn. Harper Schoendaller will compete in the women’s javelin, Connor Deters in the men’s shot put and Agbokpah in the women’s 200-meter finals at 6:20 p.m.
