One person suffered injuries after a crash near Olpe on Saturday.
Emporia Fire/EMS and Lyon County deputies responded to the 800 block of Kansas Highway 99 shortly after 5:30 pm. Fire Capt. Wade Schmidt says the driver, later identified by Lyon County deputies as 28-year-old Kylie Joy Stueve of Olpe, suffered non-life-threatening injuries but was transported to Newman Regional Health for observation and treatment.
Lyon County Corporal Collin Brozek says Stueve was driving an SUV northbound when she veered off the highway into the east ditch. The SUV hit an embankment, sending it airborne for over 100 feet before it overturned and rolled several times.
Deputies are investigating the wreck.
