A busy summer play season is underway at Emporia State University.
The first of three different performances will take the stage Friday, June 12. Emporia State Director of Theatre Aubry Wilson recently joined the KVOE Morning Show to promote the university’s summer showcase.
Wilson says students have been hard at work preparing for the opening production, Cabaret.
While preparations for Cabaret continue, work is already underway on the next production, Much Ado About Nothing. The Shakespeare classic will be performed during the weekend of June 25.
Wilson also shared her excitement about a new addition to the summer lineup. For the first time, the theater program is producing a children’s show.
Finding Nemo will open July 10, rounding out the summer season.
Tickets for all performances, along with the complete summer schedule, are available through the Emporia State University Theatre website.
