Truckin’ For Tucker year six is nearly here.
The annual 5K run and walk fundraiser supporting the Tucker Lee Everyone Plays fund will take place next Saturday, June 13th, at the Emporia High School walking trail, moving from its longtime location at the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building. Organizer and cousin to Tucker Lee, Jordan Waltz says the change was due to a scheduling conflict, but it was a change that also made a lot of sense.
Registration is ongoing at this time, and according to Waltz is seeing a great response as of Thursday morning.
The cost is $25 for adults and for youth 14 and under is $15. Prizes will be awarded in different categories. All proceeds will benefit the Everyone Plays fund, which assists local youth in participating in sports by offering financial aid for fees, gear, and other related costs.
Truckin’ For Tucker will begin at 8 am with registration, followed by the walk and run at 9 am. For more information or to register, visit the Tucker Lee Everyone Plays Fund Facebook page.
