State assessment data and facility assessments will be the major focal points for USD 253 Emporia Board of Education members when they convene for their regular meeting Wednesday evening.
The board will receive the spring 2026 state assessment preliminary results as part of their teaching and learning items on the agenda. The board will then review an investment-grade audit with Trane manufacturing company.
Additional items for review and possible action will include preschool program assurances, primary resources for elementary social studies, a first reading of a Flint Hills virtual program handbook addendum and the renewal of district property, casualty and workers’ compensation insurance for the 2026-27 school year. The regular Superintendent report and one executive session for negotiations are also planned.
The meeting will begin at 6 pm inside the Mary Herbert Education Center.
