Lyon County commissioners jump back into budgetary matters with their meetings this week.
A study meeting Wednesday morning will see annual budget requests presented by, in order of presentation, Kansas Legal Services, Hetlinger Developmental Services, Lyon County Conservation District, Lyon County Sheriff and Newman Regional Health. Those discussions will take place ahead of a road view along Road 350 west of P.
The action session Thursday has more budget requests, including Lyon County Fair Board and Lyon County libraries, before a public hearing on potentially vacating the remaining portion of Road 350 west of P and an allocation to Flint Hills Technical College at almost $74,000.
The study meeting begins at 8 am Wednesday, while the action meeting is at 9 am. Both meetings are at the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers.
