With the Arab Shriners looking to beef up their funds to support operations, the community is being offered a chance to take home some delicious bundles this weekend.
The Shriners, in partnership with Emporia Masonic Lodge #12, will be hosting a meat raffle fundraiser Sunday night at the lodge, 424 Merchant Street, starting at 4 pm. Shriner Paul Clarkson explained how the fundraiser will operate during an appearance on KVOE’s Morning Show Wednesday morning.
The cost to enter each round is $1 per person, with a $10 admission fee. All proceeds will go to benefit operational costs for the Shriners.
As for the meat bundles will be up for grabs, those will include hamburger, pork chops, steaks, chicken and much more and can be taken home the night of the event. Clarkson explained how the fundraiser, which started elsewhere, came to the local community.
In addition to the meat bundles, the event will also include $1 beers and $5 mixed drinks. The fundraiser will run until 7 pm at the Masonic Lodge. For more information, visit the Emporia Lodge No. 12 Facebook page.
