The 2026 Lyon County Front Porch Jam series kicks off Friday.
The opening concert will take place from 7 pm to 9 pm at 2910 Crestview Drive with headliners Cookie and the Soulshiners. Front Porch Jams lead organizer Jeane Scheve told KVOE News during an interview on the KVOE Morning Show Thursday that once again this year’s kickoff concert will be supporting the USD 252 Honor Flight Program.
Friday’s benefactor was chosen by the event hosts, which includes Don Wamser, a local veteran and a longtime series supporter who recalled his participation in Honor Flight.
Following Friday’s kickoff, concerts will continue monthly through September, all with different venues benefiting a variety of causes. The full schedule is as follows:
*Friday, June 19th at 2910 Crestview Drive, hosted by Don Wamser, Lee Garriott, Bary and Nina Williams, Craig and Joni Black.
*Friday, July 31 at 890 Road L in Olpe, benefiting the USD 252 Honor Flight Program hosted by Bob and Brenda Redeker
*Friday, August 28th at 650 Road K7 in Olpe, hosted by Gary and Martha Jones. Cause TBD
*Saturday, September 26th at 815 Road J5 in Olpe hosted by Steve and Diana Kuhlman. Cause TBD.
