Emporia’s annual Street Rehab project is ready to begin.
Work officially starts Monday, weather permitting, with a variety of components including chip sealing, crack sealing and fog sealing ahead. Most of the renovated streets will see a combination of all three sealing methods:
*Aspen Dr (Cul de Sac to S. Congress St)
*Copley Ave (S. Exchange St to S. Commercial St, S. Congress St to S. Neosho St, S. West St to S. Walnut St
*Kansas Ave (S. Mechanic St to S. Commercial St)
*Market St (South Ave to 2nd Ave)
*Randolph Ave (S. Mechanic St to S. Commercial St)
*Rindom Rd (S. Walnut St to S. Lawrence St)
*S. Congress St (Logan Ave to Kansas Ave)
*S. Lawrence St (Rindom Rd to Copley Ave)
*S. Pine St (Dead End to South Ave)
Three other street segments will see chip seal and fog seal work:
*Cypress Dr (Merchant St to Cul de Sac)
*S. Merchant St (Cypress Dr to Kansas Ave)
*Market St (Railroad Tracks to 5th Ave)
