The city of Emporia’s annual Street Preservation project is well underway.
Currently, several streets are in the final stages of receiving varying sealants. Fourteen street segments are getting a fog seal:
*Aspen Drive from the cul-de-sac to S. Congress
*Copley Avenue from S. Exchange to S. Commercial, from S . Congress to S. Neosho, from S. West to S. Walnut
*Kansas Avenue from S. Mechanic to S. Commercial
*Market Street from South to 2nd, from Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks to 5th
*Randolph Avenue from S. Mechanic to S. Commercial
*Rindom Road from S. Walnut to S. Lawrence
*S. Congress Street from Logan to Kansas
*S. Lawrence Street from Rindom to Copley
*S. Pine Street from the dead end to South
*Cypress Drive from Merchant to cul-de-sac
*S. Merchant Street from Cypress to Kansas
These street segments have already received a crack seal or chip seal, based on their conditions.
