Plans to expand the offerings at the Emporia Pavilions retail shopping center are on hold.
Bath & Body Works had tentative plans to move out of Flinthills Mall, including the construction of new space — 3,000 square feet — immediately west of Hobby Lobby. Those plans are now on hold for unspecified reasons. Pavilions developer Spencer Thomson is hoping to see conversations resume, but it may be next year before that happens.
The square footage set to be claimed by Bath & Body Works is among 6,000 square feet available on the far west edge of the development. There are still several pads available along the south frontage, but those have been earmarked for possible restaurants that haven’t come to fruition.
PetSmart, the last store still under construction, has not announced a grand opening date but is nearing the end of its internal work on site.
