If you need anything associated with your Kansas driver’s license and had plans to go to the Emporia facility inside Flinthills Mall to get that handled, your plans will have to adjust until next week.
The Emporia Department of Motor Vehicles office is closed until further notice due to staffing issues. The Kansas Department of Revenue says the location’s office manager suddenly resigned.
The tentative plan has the Emporia DMV closed Thursday, Friday and Monday, opening with shorter hours, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, from Tuesday until the office manager post is full.
If you’re needing help right away, the most convenient way might be online through ksrevenue.gov/dovindex. Reason being: drivers license offices in neighboring counties offer help with only basic renewals and most serve their specific county residents only. Exceptions to the county-specific service model are Chase and Morris counties. Residents can also download the iKan app.
